# Need help with my trailer...please :(

hi guys, i am new to flash (you hear that all the time i bet), i am making a movie trailer in flash. my movie has about 20 layers, first layer has music playing from start to finish, no problems there. 2nd layer has a warner bros/dreamworks quicktime movie playing(imported) no problem there, the other layers basically have a cog animation i made, hence the other layers are so big, thought i would just describe the scene for you… NOW TO THE QUESTIOn.

i made a text effect in swish and exported it as a swf file. it is currently on my hard drive (C:drive), after the movie clip finishes on the second layer, i want to load this text effect.swf in, then make it stop about 50 frames down the time line. what action script do i need to put in to load this movie… i have tried everything and nothing works (probably cause im crap) but i am getting used to it.

i have no buttons to push to load the movie, i just want it to play when the timeline gets to it, thats it.

any inut would save me a fortune in pants i have ahave had a persistant urge to wet myself eversince i have had this problem 🙂

when importing quicktime you can only export as quicktime. no actions are saved in the quicktime format. perhaps you should create a table that contains the quicktime and flash seperately. that way you can export your flash as a swf and it will work in the flash player.  
i may be way off base in assuming that you are exporting as quicktime. let us know.

forget about everything in my post except for this bit… i have a swf movie i want to load, i made it in swish, and exported it as a swf file. it is currently sitting on my c: drive. i want to load it into flash, but dont know how to?

i have got quicktime movies playing, but i have them working fine, i imported them and hey work, so erase anything about quicktime from the equastion. all i would like to know is how to import an swf file into flash, as i know NOTHING about action script.

sorry for the confusion 🙂
