**needless click 1**
I went to a Linux install fest at college. A bunch of nerds tried to install Linux on my laptop but it failed horribly. Now upon starting up the computer, I get this black screen with some complicated text. I need to click Esc key in order to start Window’s XP. How do I just start XP automatically?

For some reason, I now have to click my user name on the Win XP start-up screen before I can type in my password. Before, it was automatically focused on the text box.
