# Never host a file that anyone might want to download

I did, and it ended up using up ALLL of my bandwidth within 12 days. I hosted this video of someone demo-ing the new DS handheld, and I checked my site today and all 15.9 GB’s of my 15GB of bandwidth had been used up by that file. :{ :{ :{. I got a 509 Bandwidth Exceeded error.

Now no one can see my site or anything hosted on it until November. ☹

(The file was only about 10mb)
