So, how much of chapter 11 (second edition) is not applicable as of today? ---

A fair amount at this point, but the updated content can be seen here: [https://www.kirupa.com/react/component\_lifecycle.htm](https://www.kirupa.com/react/component_lifecycle.htm) I’m aiming to get the next edition of the book updated at some point this year to coincide with the next big React update. Outside of the lifecycle topic and the addition of React Hooks in the latest React point update, the content in the book is still up-to-date. 🙂 ---

Hi @KanadqaSPB - I’m in the process of starting a new edition, but parts of Chapter 11 are out of date. Please use the official React docs for the content on lifecycle events in the interim. (Пожалуйста, используйте [translate.google.com](http://translate.google.com) для размещения сообщений на английском языке. Мало кто из нас здесь говорит по-русски 🙂)
