Kit no offense, as i can’t even make smilies (pixel art is HARD) but the castle of yours looks like something the water did to my beautiful castles after the tide came in…it looks muddy and like its melting 🙂 unless of course, thats the effect you wanted?? lol, i think ur idea to go for the ruins might have backfired this time… ---

Probably. But I know I’ll forget to post it up otherwise. 🙂 Mak: I know, this one does look very weird… The sandcastle thing is pretty accurate, even though that’s not what it was meant to look like. I don’t think Soul is going to have much competition from this quarter. 🙂 The whole ruins idea was good in theory, but in practice it looks… well, weird. (-: I stuck it up on deviantART so I could stick it in an IMG tag and not have to attach it, and for once I’ve got loads of lovely comments on it. It even made the daily top favourites in that section! I’m amazed, I never realised there were quite so many pixel artists out there… ---

but to say that you (kit) drew it pixel by pixel, its pretty intense and also to say you haven’t stuck to the coventions and managed to still make it look 3D then well done… pat on the back for you… :cowboy: ---

**tip:** sit a bit back from kits picture and squint alittle… then you will truely see how good kits picture is… looks real from here… maybe not conventional but still really good ---

I defy convention. I laugh at isometrics. I drop ice cubes down the vest of normality. Well noticed Star, it \does\ look better if you view it from a distance and squinting. Obvious when you think about it. :sigh: ---

OK… I’m up to 25 sets, 150+ layers now… Just finished my fountain w. statue, two tents (complete with shadows, stripes, and holders + wires to hold it in place. AND… a \*\*\*\*load of bushes everywhere… In addition to that, I now have a front castle wall (with bricks), “trees” out front, railing, courtyard, grass, water (WITH ducks + duck-reflections), hedges, banners, flags (big + small) and two towers… and I still need: Booths, people, animals, walkways, more tents, goods, food for the animals, toilets, and a bowling alley =) I REALLY have my work cut out for me… geez… :sure: Anyone frightened yet? Except Kit? :beam: And I’m not kidding about all those things… really… I WILL make them… ---

Still, I’m going to try and claim a creative victory by my abandonment of the traditional 3D isometric view and lack of any skill whatsoever in my entry. Conventionality went out the window.
