# New Programer. Need help plz

Hey all, I have recently wanted to get into programing for personal and business use. My only knowledge of code is some simple HTML. I was wondering what the best language to learn first would be. I figured Java as i have heard it was easier and offered a broad range of uses. If anyone has any tips for a complete newbie programmer, please let me know.
