I still think you should reduce the padding a little more in the blue nav section. And :lol: I also still think that \ is out of place. Also, on the footer, instead of a single white dashed line, why not try something like a dark green solid 3px border or something of the like? The dashed white border just looks kinda funky to me. But other than that it’s pretty good! :thumb2: ---

The left nav looks cramped in the center. Why not move it over to the left more so “Workforce Shortage” could be on one line?? Also the line height needs to be reduced some. (Really Really BIG Super Sub Link) is starting to look like three links instead of one. ---

not a bad start, it’s pretty cool. i think i would either extend the header to full-screen (bg-repeat) or reduce and center the footer, just so everything balances out. ---

I’ve decreased the subnav padding and prettied it up a little. Added the dark border to the bottom (good suggestion). I tried to position a gradient .png over that marquee so it flowed in smooth, but it kept breaking my page and I couldn’t figure it out. :\ Any suggestions on how to position a small .png on the right side? As for extending the header, use the green edges and repeat that. On the yellow bar take a 1px width from the middle of the bar to use. Take the ‘inner shadow’ effect out from the left and right sides of the yellow bar… ugh hard to explain… _10 minutes later_… something like this (see attached image)… Hope that helps :look: :lol: ---

The fact that it’s not even your site and you did it motivates me. 😏 I’ll have it fixed by mid-Monday. Since I’m making the header/footer expand off the screen, should I make the footer the same color as the header or leave it lighter like that to add subtleness? ---

lol. Just heard from the client they want me to completely redesign it from scratch and make something grungey. :lol: ha! They asked for it to adhere to a web2.0 palette and told me they like this for so long. Sheesh. It’s ok. This site looked like crap anyway. :bounce: I’ll be posting the redesign tomorrow. One bit of advice. Dont be afraid to venture out of the uniform boxy feel type site. That is what I am getting from your design. It seems too canned. Tastefully bend the grid and make it a bit more organic or dynamic. ---

How many clients really know what they want, usually take a couple of rounds of mocks. Some times you have to stand your ground and challenge them or their decisions, your the expert that’s why they are coming to you. ---

Well, at first he just wanted somewhere to post them temporarily. That’s why I threw this together (my first try at Web2.0 crap). It adhered to a color palette they’d given me and told me to do everything in. But now he’s decided he wants it to be integrated with the new site we’re getting after all.
