# Newbie - How to create chess game?

Scene=Scene 1, Layer=count, Frame=1: Line 1: Mouse events are permitted only for button instances  
on(release){

The above errors show up during publishing the new .fla…

And when I tried it in my pocket pc, a new strange behaviour came up. I can click anywhere on the board, but all the places will only change the top left hand corner’s button ONLY!

Oh my gosh…

Yeah I see, but now you’ve completely lost me… ☹

The counter can’t have on(release), since it is not a button, how does the scoring system work??

When does a person get a point?

Oh don’t worry about the counter… btw its ‘manually count’ 😛

The board buttons still cannot work… is there ways of making the whole changing chess symbol as a button behaviour itself?
