# Newbie Premiere Question

I just installed Premiere, and I’m having some problems that I’m sure are just caused by my newbieness. I importeda video, and am trying to export one segment to the timeline. So, all was well, I played through, set an in point and an out point, while in the monitor window of the clip I could hear the sound and play through my selection. But, when I put it into a sequence, the audio mysteriously disappeared. The video appeared but the audio channel was blank (a straight line).

Any help would be great, thanks 🙂
