# Newbie question on linking an adbanner

hey - i prolly didnt even make the flash animation correctly or anything - but it works… mostly… well… kinda.

my ad banner can be seen displayed here:

anyways, the animation works, but considering this is my first time even attempting flash, i don’t know how to link it to my site’s url - which is:

id appreciate any help you can offer - sorry for bother u all with what is probably an extremely easy question, but im fed up with playing around with it and getting nowhere.

Dun forget to remove the spaces from the embed tag.

In your movie, create a giant invisible button over the banner.

Assign a getURL action to the button.

To make an invisible button just draw then shape, convert it to a button symbol, open up your button for editing and drag the keyframe so that the only occupied frame is the one under “HIT”.

This will create an invisible button to the viewers, and since it will cover all your content you can just click.
