# Newbie question

hello,  
i’m kind of new to webdesign so pardon my ignorance… :puzzled:  
i know basic html (working with tables, frames etc…) and some even more basic javascript…

for my portfolio (architecture & graphic design) i am maling a website, and i want to have a menubalk designed in flash within a basic html frmes page. After doing some tutorials i’ve got as far as making buttons and targetting certain frame…

but i want to take it a step further and animate the whole bar itself… this is where i’m puzzled.

as an example look at the top left agle of this website (not that i want to copy this but i want something similar in style).

how would i have to structure a flash animation like that? i know i will need some actionscripting…

please explain every step since my knowledge of flash is minimal…
