My second attempt at Kit’s tutorial. No pink undies this time, but something much better to look at. ![](http://www.ethanmedia.com/darius/art_sm.gif) ---

Not bad, the highlights on the hair seems a bit off, but the overall proportions look good. Nice work. =) ---

EG, Yeah I agree about the highlights. I seem to be having the most problems with shadows and highlights. ---

I really like it actually. 🙂 I’d say that highlighting and shadows aren’t essential if that’s the style you’re after. If you wanted to make it more realistic, then yeah, add all the highlights and that. 🙂 But I rather like it like this. 🙂 If there’s one thing I’d change, it would be the definition on the nose. But then, I know from experience that this is one of the most awkward things to do. 🙂 ---

Kit, How do you mean? What can I do to define the nose more? Thanks ---

What I did with the one of Tifa was to put a patch of shadow behind where the nose would be, so the lighter bit stood out more. It’s tricky. Since you’re not really using the lines to define, you have to rely on the coloring. 🙂 I still really like the pic though, it’s good. 🙂 ---

Perhaps you haven’t ‘saw one,’ since it could just as well be a shirt. 😛 😛 😛 Edit: By shirt I mean Tank Top, asphalt, before you start yelling about sleeves. 😛 ---
