# Numbers and Textinput Component

Hi! I am using actionscript 2.0, and I actually have a simple question: the TextInput.text property returns the text string in quotes. However, I am calculating something and don’t want it in quotes. How do I get rid of the quotes so I can calculate stuff? Thanks.
