–\>If I’m going to embed an object (ala a flash movie) into an XHTML page, is there something special I have to do, like include the CDATA tag?

are you trying to embed flash with xhtml compliance? there’s an ala tutorial on that… if that’s what you’re trying to do, otherwise I have no idea what you’re talking about
