I am making an flash calculator… i know!!

The only problem is that all the calculator flash applications always use input textboxes to use the numbers, but i need buttons.

The first thought was to use a string, and add all the numbers together.

the only problem is that i cant add two strings together because flash thinks that it is not a numeric variable. i have tried to use the var:Number function but it still isnt working.

If anyone could attach a file with any help it would be much apricated.

Thanks
