Hello

I’ve been searching for an answer to this for a couple of days with no luck, and it seems so straight forward. All i want to do is create one preloader for loading multiple external .png’s simulatneously? The png’s urls are parsed into the animation using xml, the MC are created dynamically and assigned a url path composed of variables;
ActionScript Code:
[FONT=Courier New][LEFT][COLOR=#808080]_//…_[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#808080]_// parse xml_[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#000000] **var** [/COLOR] renewalPath = theStage[COLOR=#000000][[/COLOR][COLOR=#000080]1[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]][/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]attributes[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]path[/COLOR];
[COLOR=#000000] **var** [/COLOR] renewalLHImgOne = theStage[COLOR=#000000][[/COLOR][COLOR=#000080]1[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]][/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]firstChild[/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]attributes[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]image[/COLOR];
[COLOR=#000000] **var** [/COLOR] renewalLHImgTwo = theStage[COLOR=#000000][[/COLOR][COLOR=#000080]1[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]][/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]childNodes[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000][[/COLOR][COLOR=#000080]1[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]][/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]attributes[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]image[/COLOR];
[COLOR=#000000] **var** [/COLOR] renewalRHImgOne = theStage[COLOR=#000000][[/COLOR][COLOR=#000080]1[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]][/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]childNodes[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000][[/COLOR][COLOR=#000080]2[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]][/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]attributes[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]image[/COLOR];
[COLOR=#000000] **var** [/COLOR] renewalRHImgTwo = theStage[COLOR=#000000][[/COLOR][COLOR=#000080]1[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]][/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]childNodes[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000][[/COLOR][COLOR=#000080]3[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]][/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]attributes[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]image[/COLOR];

[COLOR=#808080]_// Creates movieclips to hold the renewal items
\_root.castMC.StagesWrap.Renewal.createEmptyMovieClip(“renewalLHImgOne\_MC”, 50);_[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#0000FF]\_root[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]castMC[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]StagesWrap[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]Renewal[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]renewalLHImgOne\_MC[/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]loadMovie[/COLOR]COLOR=#000000[/COLOR];
[COLOR=#0000FF]\_root[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]castMC[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]StagesWrap[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]Renewal[/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]createEmptyMovieClip[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]([/COLOR][COLOR=#FF0000]“renewalRHImgTwo\_MC”[/COLOR], [COLOR=#000080]51[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000])[/COLOR];
[COLOR=#0000FF]\_root[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]castMC[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]StagesWrap[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]Renewal[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]renewalRHImgTwo\_MC[/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]loadMovie[/COLOR]COLOR=#000000[/COLOR]; [COLOR=#0000FF]
\_root[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]castMC[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]StagesWrap[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]Renewal[/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]createEmptyMovieClip[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]([/COLOR][COLOR=#FF0000]“renewalRHImgOne\_MC”[/COLOR], [COLOR=#000080]53[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000])[/COLOR];
[COLOR=#0000FF]\_root[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]castMC[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]StagesWrap[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]Renewal[/COLOR].[COLOR=#000080]renewalRHImgOne\_MC[/COLOR].[COLOR=#0000FF]loadMovie[/COLOR]COLOR=#000000[/COLOR];

[COLOR=#808080]\*// now, i just can’t figure out how to assign the movieClipLoader class to these dynamically created MC’s for the preloader, PLease Help! \*[/COLOR]
