Hey guys, here’s a job I did a while back for a private opticians. Tell me what you think. It was my first full flash site. Well, it’s only half flash - the content is framed html. very nice…Good clean layout. The movie on the top distracts from the site, or at least for me, since the camera is “panning” I am trying to read the information and look at the movie at the same time. Then again, that is just my personal preference. I like your layout, and how you incorporated the map. Maybe is you used images from the shop inside and outside with the alpha lowered they wouldn’t distract but still get your point. Across. Just out of curiousity, how much did the company pay for a site like that. If you wish not to share, I understand. Keep up the good work. Well done ---

OK well it’s gonna be brung, and don’t beat me up. It nice and SIMPLE. Looking at the scrolling pictures, the store front being all red, almost “Willy Wonka” like, I wish the site could be more like that. BUT I totally understand those dam.n opticians like their sites very pro. It’s just very empty to me… Cheers -Deano ---

hmmm thats a tuffie, I have never done anything for anyone else so I am used to what I like I guess lol. take a look at my half-done-piece-of-crap site [www.radioactivechimp.com](http://www.radioactivechimp.com) It’s pretty simple and has the same kind of shapes that yours does. I even have a scrolling picture…wait a sec…my site is pretty much your site! Just you have more space but everything is smooshed up top I guess. Well anyways, I would put some animation of a blinking eye or sumthin lol -Full of craapppity Deano ---

That explains your fascination with the red and gold lettering… you vibrant, colour fiend! 😉 I like your site but the text whooshing in like that doesn’t work for me. Great style though! That’s a good idea with the eye… I was thinking of something like a blurred reading chart which slowly becomes clear. Sounds like a lot of work though. And I’m too lazy right now! thanks, like I said, it’s half done lol…still a lot to do, and I’m only 14! The reading chart gives me an idea: have the blurred chart and have a plair of glasses follow the mouse. You do some fancy masking and make it so the “glass” part of the glasses reveal a sharp version of the chart. Too confusing? I could help you on it lol. ---

It is hard to say what is great, good, and just ok. It is really up to the client. If they had wanted an upper-end site like Ford, Humvee then it is not all that great. But if they are thrilled with your product then it is a great job. It is hard to get a client to believe what you think is great is the best thing. My first attempt at a Full on Flash site which can be seen here [http://lastradainc.com](http://lastradainc.com/) my only wish for that site is that I had found Kirupa’s site here like 6 months ago. Fortunatlly for me I was given 90% free reign on the development of that particular site. I do have to say personally though I like it. It is clean and to the point. No extrainious stuff to distract you except maybe that panning storefront. Maybe a slideshow in flash highlighting the store would have been better. ---

that site you made is so flashed out lol, very good though. I think the site is waay cooler than the restaurant by looking at the pic of the shack lol ---

In your case how much nifty flashy things can you incorporate into that site. Not much I presume otherwise it would be overkill as my site was. Ⓜ ---
