# Opening Items in side Flash

Well no surprise I’m a newbie. I’m basicly looking for a tutorial or some help. I’m trying to get the affect of a mouse over opening menus. that’s basicly the easiest way to explain what I’m looking for.  
I made a movie clip with buttons inside the clip, I used a mask to the buttons appear, but the problem is everytime I click on the buttons nothing happens.  
Anyone able to give me a hand, or got any good tutorials to where I can do similar affects?

Ok 15 different people have looked at this. Either no one knows the answer, or no one knows what i’m talking about.

Buttons inside movie clips, won’t work, even with the on (press/release) function. One way of making the buttons work is using “hit test”.
