# Outline and then image?

I’ve been experimenting with Flash for a while now and I don’t understand how to make something that shows the outline of an image, and then the image…
I understand using alpha and stuff to make this, but does anyone know a tutorial on it?

could you specify a little…what exactly do you mean by outline of an image…like what it looks like when you have onion skin on or something else?

Look at the animal that appears… I think it may be onion skin? What is onion skin?

Ok…that looks like it was done in photoshop with a surrounding white glow and then the image was tweened from a totally white tinted image to the Photshop one. (Onion skin is something that you can use in flash to show the outlines of objects…not a technique or anything…basically it’s helpful for frame by frame animation and seeing what you had in the previous frame).
EDIT:It also looks like the first half of the sequence may have been done with masking…not really sure

Hmm…I played around with it…lol can’t expect to become an expert animator in a day…dunno what do you think of this version…probably even worse :p…

okay i kept playing with it and i took off the alpha the word logo had now it looks better and is less stress on the procesor :beam:
