ok i m using ad aware for the first time and i got 53 files that it found. i dont know which ones i should delete and which ones arent ads. i made the list of files on the web [http://home.comcast.net/~sunyantra/ads.html](http://home.comcast.net/~sunyantra/ads.html) any help would be appreciated than ks ---

Yes… All of them… None of them are uselful… LISTEN TO THE MAN! _lol_ Seriously bro… The registry ones are those pesky pop ups you get every so often… They write registry keys so that they can track you… it’s a \*\*\*\*\*. ---

Where do you guys get all these adwares/spywares? I never get any popups or anything :h: ---

After seeing this thread I thought I should try scanning my computer with one of these programs. I downloaded Spybot and there’s roughly 46 problems. Like seattle I’m a bit unsure if I should delete some things. Some of the problems that came up are Windows Media Player : Client ID and then something about a registry change. I know messing with the registry is a big no no so please advise me! :hat: ---

WATCH OUT WHEN USING AD-AWARE IT SOMETIMES DELETES STUFF YOUR P.C ACTALLY NEEDS. AFTER RUNNING AD AWARE ONCE I HAD MANY ERRORS POP UP WHICH I NEVA HAD B4 IVE PERSONALLY HAVE HAD SOME SORTA GENERIC HOST PROBLEM AND SYSTEM32 COULDNT BE FOUND ON STARTUP PLUS MY CINEMA 4D DIDNT WORK AFTER I RAN IT IM NOT SAYING THERE IS ANYTHING FATALLY WRONG WITH THE PROG, BUT BE CAREFUL ALWAYS SCROLL DOWN THE LIST DONT DELETE EVERYTHING TRY THE GOOGLE SEARCH BAR THAT HAS STOPED ME GETTING ANY POP UPS… URBANJ ---

people get ad tags when they download crap freeware software from those mass download sites… plus people that use file transfer programs e.g Kazaa so much crap comes tagged to these type of programs… to solve this 1.)dont download crap cheapo software… 2.)find ‘lite’ versions of file transfer programs … 3.)and get yourself a good firewall 4.)stop lookin at ‘dodgy sites’ you :p:'s ---

1.) get kazaa lite k++ 2.) Ad Aware still detects 1 spyware thing, but kazaa lite assures us that it has been rendered hamless, yet since kazaa lite is based off of kazaa it still needs the file to be there (although this version is harmless) delete all of them except the one in the kazaa lite file
