Hi everyone. I have a button that is the bitmap image of a notebook. When you click this notebook, I would like it to zoom out at you and open up. Is there any advice that can be given to me as to how I might be able to make this work? Will I have to do a frame animation for each step of the page flip or is there a better way? I figure I can turn the flip into a movie clip, and then zoom out the movie clip afterwards. I also have a question regarding bitmap buttons. Is there a way to remove the white space around a cropped bitmap so you can overlap some images? I noticed the following site looks like it has a lot of bitmaps in it, and I was wondering how they get them to be cropped out to animate. There is also an example of the page flip that I want to do. I selected white that I didn’t want around the image and pressed delete. Then I exported the image as a png, and imported it into flash. However, I still get the white around it. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong? I notice that when I click delete on the white in photoshop, the white is still white…it’s not that transparent checkered box around it. Does that mean anything? maria- ---

In photoshop, if the layer pallete says “background” then you need to convert it to a normal layer. Do this by double clicking on the layer and selecting ok in the box that pops up. Then you should be able to delete things and see the checkered background. ---
