Hello lin and welcome to Kirupa! =) I took a glance at the site in question and they used flash to create the whole layout along with the page sliding effect. And judging by their file size, I’m guessing they made all the pages on one movie and just have the buttons tween the pages back and forth. Hope that answers your question. =)
