Hi,

I have a movie where I have 425 objects(candles) on my page. Each candle is linked with information from a database. Currently I have each candle set up like so…(within the instance)
_onClipEvent(data)
{
if(CandleDisplay1 != “Get a Candle Today!!”) {
strFirstName = CandleDisplay1;
strLastName = CandleDisplay2;
strDate = CreatedOn;
} else {flame.\_alpha =0;}}_
\*onClipEvent(load)
{

loadVariables (“_[getdetails.aspx?Record=76](http://www.covenanthouse.on.ca/Public/Vigil/getdetails.aspx?Record=76)_”, this); }\*
My problem is this is very taxing on the Database calling up 425 records at a time and results in a slow load of of the info associated with the candles.

My questions are:

1. Is there must be another way to link the data to these clips. For example: Get all of the information in one shot, cut it all up and distribute it to each candle?

2. Is there a way that Flash can detect if all of the information is loaded from the database and then display the images? (Example a loading page)

Thank you in advance.
