What works is that the facade makes privacy variable rather than fixed, so the house feels less like a barricade and more like a filter between home and street.

closed -> secure / shaded / opaque
partial -> screened / ventilated / social
open -> exposed / connected / active

```

That shift from wall to adjustable membrane is the interesting part.
