# PHP and MySQL Security

I am about to begin work on a website driven by a database of users, each of which have personal information in their accounts. I need to make this system extremely secure and I was wondering if someone could point me towards some comprehensive and well explained information on how to develop secure PHP systems when accessing mySQL databases. Thanks.
