# Php? mysql? what do I need to know?

Hi! As a project for my last year me and a friend are supposed to make an uploading kind of site. You register and are allowed to upload let’s say 1gb. These files can be searched/downloaded by all members and possibly rated. So you will have a sort of personal page where your files are displayed with rating and what not.

What do I need to know in order to make this kind of thing? The whole point of this project is to learn something new, so I took something I don’t know anything about 😃 Any tips?
