Hello everybody,

I’m planning to build a site which will have several pages. However, the contents of each page will loaded from a database depending on the “GET” variable in the address bar. (i.e. [mysite.com?page=1](http://mysite.com?page=1) will load article 1, [mysite.com?page=2](http://mysite.com?page=2) will load article 2 etc…). Will a search engine be able to find and index all the pages on my site if I use this scheme?

Thanks,

- Nick

I think it will be able to search, but why not consider mod\_rewrite?

It would make [mysite.com?page=1](http://mysite.com?page=1) prettier by making it [mysite.com/page/1](http://mysite.com/page/1)

for example:
is the same as
[http://strokemymouse.com/re/index.php?cat=5](http://strokemymouse.com/re/index.php?cat=5)

As long as you have a link to it, it will be able to find it.

Thanks for your replies! The mod\_rewrite thing looks pretty cool. It’s much better looking.
