# PHP tabbed menu

Hi,  
I have created a tabbed menu using images for the buttons instead of CSS. I’m tryign to make it so that when you click on a button it turns to a different color than the rest of the buttons. I would be able to do this if it were pure HTML but I’m using the menu as a PHP include file on every page. How would I accomplish this?
