# Php vs perl

I’ve been using perl for sometime now, before I got into flash or anything like that, but for server-side scripting with flash php seems to be the most popular. Interaction between flash and server-side scripts is somewhat new to me and it is really hard to find tutorials and info on perl w/ flash. Is php better to use with flash or is it just a matter of preference?

Comments and comparisons between php and perl as it applies to creating flash apps online would help me a great deal.
