# PLEASE help-Fading images in & out

I know this is really simple…but I completely forget how to do this & when I tried playing around w/ it, it didn’t work. I need to figure out how to make images fade in & then fade out in flash mx…any help would be appriciated! thanks so much!

Howdy…
Import the graphic image into the Flash…
Click on that image and press F8 to create a movieclip with it…
Change the \_alpha property of that movieclip over the time…
(Or create a tween over the time if it is easier…)
For more information, open up the Using Flash and follow this path…
Using Symbols, Instances, and Library Assets \> Changing instance properties \> Changing the color and transparency of an instance

Thanks for replying!! I have no idea what I’m doing wrong…but I get the image to just go from 0%-100%, but not fading. I pasted the image in, converted it to a movie clip, clicked on the image & changed it to alpha\>0%…then I created a new keyframe at like 30, clicked the image again & made it 100%. Do I need to use a motion tween somewhere? I did this before & I had to do that…I dunno, I’m lost! LOL…anybody?

select the all frames associated with the fade and slap on a motion tween… that should do it
