Okay, I am trying to understand how to do this (which I will explain) but I may be completely off with what I have so far,
because I have no programming bg. I am a designer who has been working on learning as for a while.

What I am trying to do is use the Flash leaning interactions, which are built off components to build an interactive multiple choice quiz that causes a character to have certain reactions.

Basically, each question will have 4 answers. The person will keep choosing until they get the question right, but each time they make a choice, I want a movieclip to play - which clips plays depends on which checkbox is choosen.

I hope the goal is clear. Here is what I have so far and
it is giving me this error message:
Scene=Scene 1, Layer=Layer 1, Frame=1: Line 7: Statement must appear within on/onClipEvent handler
function onChange(component)

I attached a zip of the file below. Can anyone please give me some guidance on what I am doing…right…and more importantly what I am doing wrong.

Thanks!
:crazy:

ps I had to delete the last 2 questions to get the file size down so I could attach it, but I think you can get the idea (this is just my test file anyway)

just a comment on the title… you could have said “component help” or “component interactions” or “multiple choice quiz” or “component quiz” all which would have been shorter than “Please help…too much to explain in subject…” which says absolutely nothing and is 2-3 times longer than any of the forementioned examples 🙂

Good point. I was a bit flustered as I was posting this cause I have been working on it for a while.
