# Please help with Background Effect

Hello flash Gurus,

I have an idea of displaying text on an animated background. I know the effect I want. Nothing too annoying, just something like polar lights or circular waves. Possibly in different colors and very slow, fading in and out, and moving at the same time. We see effects like that on the TV like Fox chanel and ScreenSavers.

I have no idea where to start with this. How to achieve this effect. If any of you know, please email me at [lily@lilynet.net](mailto:lily@lilynet.net)

are there any examples of this online you could link too? I’m not sure if I understand what you’re going for.

Make a bunch of shapes with the gradient tool, turn them into movie clips and then tween them (change their \_alphas and positions).

I tried gradient but it didn’t look too good so then I made a few featherd thick lines of different colors in photoshop and tweened them, and that was it. Something I was looking for.
