# Portable Memory?

Anyone use portable storage like memory sticks, smart cards, microdrives or anything?  
I want to pick something up that I can use in college to save my stuff, and I’m lost in a field of usb’s and different types of cards.  
I need something over 1 gB but not too expensive, any suggestions?
