# Possible to combine gallery and ticker?

Hi everyone.

I am trying to combine the following 2 tutorials:

and

[http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/newsticker.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/newsticker.htm)

Basically, I want to put the photo (large) behind, with the ticker layered over top. Ideally they would cycle at different speeds (the photos would only change once per 2 or 3 ticker messages).

Any thoughts on how to accomplish this? I am a relative newbie to Flash.
