# "precompose" turing your layers into a movieclip with a click

In After Effects, there is a Precompose command, which lets you group several layers into a composition, without having to go through the hassle of copying the layers, then creating a new composition, then going into the composition and pasting the layers there.

For those of you who dont know after effects, a composition is just like a flash movieclip (it contains its own timeline).

Similarly, is there a quick way in flash to put layers into a movieclip without doing that tedious process of copying pasting etc?
