# Preloader appearing late

Hey guys,  
I’m kind of new to flash, and I’m having trouble with a preloader in an external .swf (shameful I know :cantlook: ). The preloader works, but only for a brief period right before the movie loads, eg. the space remains blank for a minute or two, the preloader shows up at 95-98% through, and the movie loads straight after. The content loading isn’t very large–at the moment it’s only loading text. The site is [here](http://www.rofcrev.com/test) if that helps.

The code I’ve used is as follows

(first keyframe)

> bytes\_loaded = Math.round(this.getBytesLoaded());  
> bytes\_total = Math.round(this.getBytesTotal());  
> getPercent = bytes\_loaded/bytes\_total;  
> this.loadBar.\_width = getPercent_100;  
> this.loadText = Math.round(getPercent_100)+“%”;  
> if (bytes\_loaded == bytes\_total) {  
> this.gotoAndPlay(3);  
> }

(second keyframe)

> this.gotoAndPlay(1);

(third keyframe)

> stop ()

Note: The third keyframe also has the content on it.

I’m sorry if I’m repeating anything or asking a stupid question, but I searched around and couldn’t figure it out…  
Any help would be aprreciated.:thumb2:
