# Preloader issues in Flash 8

Hi,  
I’m having some difficulties with a preloader for my splash page.  
My splash page consists of three, one frame layers, each holding a different animated movie symbol. I’ve tried several preloaders and all of them give me the same issue.

The preloader will work fine but once it’s done loading, my movie doesn’t play. I even tried a very basic preloader (one from [Kirupa.com](http://Kirupa.com) that simply shows the bytes loaded/bytes remaining, and is only one frame with fairly basic action script) with the same results. I’ve made other movies with preloaders and never had this issue.

Could it be because my movie is made of three seperate movie symbols and there is no actual animation frames in “Scene 1” for the preloader to load? I would be eternally greatful for any assistance I could get. Thanks!
