# Preloader - my Flash Website

I have been working on my portfolio flash website. Unfortunately, it is quite large in terms of file size and it takes a total of three minutes to load. I wanted to make a preloader and I understand how to use the code and all.

What I am having trouble doing is - having that preloader appear as soon as the user hits enter after typing in the URL. Should there be a separate .fla file or smth? The preloader is on the very first keyframe in my flash file and is played before the website animations start…yet is still take 3 min to load and doesnt even play the loader right away. I need some suggestions!
