I have an odd request. I have searched the forum here and have not yet found a solution to my problem.

To explain the basics of my project I have a scene with a scrollpane and three buttons to the left to control the scrollpanes content.

The movieclip file I am using for the scrollpane is rather large and I would like to add a preloader to the movieclip itself. I am not sure on how to set up a preloader for a specific movieclip.

I have tried to create a preloader on a seperate scene, a preloader inside the movieclip, and on the main scene before the scrollpane and buttons appear.

When i go to simulate the download the bandwidth monitor shows that frame 1 is loading all my movieclips, buttons, graphics, etc…
I was wondering if there was a way to prevent a movieclip from loading into the scene until a certain frame.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

I am using Flash 8. thx for the help
