# Preloading Fonts: Methods and Execution

Ok, another dunce question from me. I’m trying to have my fonts in another FLA (titled: fonts.fla), so I can preload them into my main FLA file (titled: main.fla). You think it would be simple enough, but I haven’t been able to get it to work.

The movie loads fine, I can trace things from the first frame of fonts.fla and it will display. I have 2 fonts in the Library of fonts.fla, one with the linkage “header-font” and one with the linkage “content-font”. However, I can’t use these fonts from within my main movie. Can someone give me an idiot-proof way of going about this so I can use external fonts from my main movie?

I’ve already searched these forums, gone over Senocular’s answer [here](http://www.senocular.com/flash/tutorials/faq/#preloaderstart) and still have found a way to get this wrong.
