# Premiere Elements 8 lockup problems

So I’m looking into getting Premiere Elements 8, and naturally I downloaded the trial. It worked nicely and I was enjoying it, until I tried scrolling through the options under the “edit” tab on the right. Every single time I do this, without fail, it freezes and/or closes the program. Not fun. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

(I’m running windows 7 64 bit, which I would say was the issue if it weren’t for [this](http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=Adobe%20Premiere%20Elements&v=Adobe&uid=8&pf=0&pi=7&c=Photo%20%26%20Video&sc=Camera%20Utilities&os=32-bit), and I easily meet all the system requirements for it)
