# Prevent Mail Link

Hi,

Maybe a crazy or stupid question but does there exist a way to prevent to launch a mail program like outlook express, outlook eg when people click on a mailadres (eg mailto=“sss\*\*\*[s.com](http://s.com)”

The problem:  
A windows has by default a mail program on it (windows mail or outlook express). I only want to use my webmail so i don’t need a program on the pc starting up when i click (by accident) on a hyperlink on a webpage (mailto).

Can i prevent this?
