# Problem: movie clip buttons and external SWFs

Hello!

My problem is that I want to have a menu at the side of movie clip buttons and clicking them will load external SWFs. These SWFs have intro and outro animations to look nice. The tutorial i found here [http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/transitions.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/transitions.htm) is almost perfect but uses button buttons (ie not movie clip buttons). As a results, when i click on my movie clip buttons, nothing happens.

Can anyone help guide me as to what I should do to make the code work with movie clip buttons?
