# Problem opening recovered files

after my hard drive recently collapsed, i used GetDataBack from [runtime.org](http://runtime.org) to recover the files. although it’s managed to find all the files, i can’t open any of the .fla’s it’s recovered.

does anyone know if file recovery has a history of corrupting .fla’s?

any help or advice welcome, basically. i can post the error messages i’m getting if it would help.
