# Problem with displaying an object over code

Greetings everyone, I’m new to coding in AS3 and I hope to learn as much as I can.

Two days ago I managed to create XML based gallery the problem is I want to create a menu OVER the gallery the issue is when I create an object and place it over the gallery it actually displayes it underneath the gallery. I’m sure theres a simple function to make it work as it sounds very simple to me, please the request may sound basic and I already googled my problem I would really appreciate any kind of help as it also very important for me to solve it as quickly as possible because I need to host it as a portfolio very soon to show to my clients.
