# Product Catalog in Flash

Hey everyone, I’m new to the forums, but have been reading on Kirupa for about a year now. I was just looking for some confirmation on the process by which to create a product catalog in flash. Originally I read that Flash can use it’s components and publish the data that a Webservice contains. I’m using Flash 8 and have not had alot of luck doing this. For every article I read that says you can use Flash to display and send info to a webservice I read another that says that you cannot. I am trying to create a Flash movie that has a Combo Box that will list a Category of products, then have another Combo Box that links to each of the categories to display that list of product for the specific category, and last have a Search bar that a use can type the Product # and have it display. If I could get some confirmation on the process and a starting point that would be awesome, Thanks again for any help
