THE PROJECT:
Create a Flash movie “container.swf” that loads external movies and images via an XML playlist. Place it in a local folder on a PC to be called by a director-authored projector (exe).

THE PROBLEM:
The container .swf won’t play past the first few frames, even though it loads the external movies and images just fine.

SOME TESTS:

1. Tested to see whether the container .swf plays alright in the browser and/or in the standalone Flash player - it does.
2. Tested to see whether a replacement .swf file (with no loadmovie code) will run its full length - it does.
3. Tested different versions of Flash/ActionScript and the director projector can play them all - provided they are simple (see 2).

THE SOLUTION:
Any ideas? I’m lost! A US$50 Amazon gift voucher to whoever solves my dilemma!
