# Prototype, Dojo, jQuery...which javascript library?

Hi all,

I have been reading up on AJAX/Javascript (basically one of the SitePoint’s books) and decide that because of how different browser implements DOM, XMLHTTPRequest and WC3 event models, I will use a Javascript library.

So the top three (so far I have came across) are jQuery, Prototype and Dojo. I am looking through all three to see which has the best support (in terms of tutorials and documentations), has a ‘thickbox’ feature which allows me to include files/images and does not require much initialisation.

Any idea why I shoudl choose one over the other

PS. I know sure if this is an inflamatory topic, but if it is (as most “sell me on…” threads are), please keep it civil 🙂
