# Publishing components to Flash 5

Can the combo box or list box in flash 6 be published to a flash 5 swf.

No, it can’t.

But it took me 10 seconds to test it, why don’t u try it?

Just drag and drop a combo box on the stage and then file/Export Movie and after saving the file when u get the export flash player dialog box ain the bottom there is a version pull down menu, select Flash 5.:-\

I thought there might be a work around.

yeah…they can’t but you may be able to use some of there coding in making one for flash 5…u should play around with it and see what happens
