# Publishing to a lower version of flash player

Hi there  
Since I have flash player 8, i can’t tell if it works or not but by choosing which version of flash player I publish a movie, is that all that needs to be done so that someone with a lower flash player sees my file created with flash 8 but published to a lower version of flash player?
